Recently the CTVFC spent a considerable amount of time researching and redesigning our turn out gear. The fine folks at MSA lead several sessions to allow us to fine tune how our gear is performing and make improvements to its abilities in regards to protection, durability, and longevity. The largest change is pretty obvious and it was to shift to black gear vs tan gear. We are also testing a new gear configuration for consideration in the future. We have 12 additional sets that are coming for our firefighters. If successful our goal will be to phase this PPE in for all of our firefighters over the next 5-7 years.
