Station 21 was dispatched for smoke showing in a multi-family apartment complex just before noon on Sunday. E21-2 arrived on scene and forced entry into an apartment in division 2 and found smoke banked down to the floor. While the line was being deployed the crew performed a quick primary search of the affected apartment. The engine crew then extinguished the fire and were assisted by the mutual aid companies who checked for extension, performed overhaul, and established a water supply.
