This evening the CTVFC was alerted for a donkey that fell into a pond in the Township. The station staffing on R21, E21, and LT 21-2 arrived and assessed the incident. They determined that they needed to call water rescue Team 300 as well as Station 52 in Beaver County (New Sewickley) for their large animal rescue team. The crews worked together and pulled the animals from the water and moved it to a garage to begin warming and veterinary care. Crews operated for about 1.5 hours. The rescue was a success and the donkey is doing well!
